James A. Teneyck has joined First Peoples Bank in Port St. Lucie as a mortgage loan consultant. Teneyck has worked in mortgage lending and retail for 15 years.
Construction
Jeffrey A. Mickle has been promoted to vice president of home building for the Southeast Florida division of Taylor Woodrow. Mickle joined the company in 1998 and will be responsible for home building on the Gold Coast and Treasure Coast and the Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens.
Education
J. Dennis Coates has been named the dean of the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Coates received his degrees from Northwest Missouri State University and Louisiana State University and joined the faculty of FAU 16 years ago.
Entertainment
Elaine Newman has been elected to the board of directors of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, and Betty Buckley has been named to the artistic advisory board. Newman was owner, partner and president of Newman-Coar Associates, a New England design firm, before moving to Florida, and designed the backstage green room at the theater. Stage star Buckley has been a teacher of scene study and song interpretation for 30 years and is a faculty member in the theater department of the University of Texas.
Sonya Davis has been chosen as the executive director of the Lighthouse Center for the Arts in Tequesta. Davis served as the vice president of services and education at the Palm Beach County Cultural Council Inc. in West Palm Beach and before that managed grants and sponsorships for the Norton Museum of Art.

Robert E. Geisler, an attorney at Fowler White Boggs Banker in West Palm Beach, has been recertified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and recertified as a trial lawyer by the Board of Legal Specialization and Education of the Florida Bar.
Joseph G. Galardi has been named a shareholder and director of Beasley Hauser Kramer & Leonard in West Palm Beach. The name of the firm has changed to Beasley Hauser Kramer Leonard & Galardi P.A. Galardi received his degrees from George Washington University and Pennsylvania State University and practices in the area of complex business and commercial litigation and appellate litigation.
Peter R. Ray has been made a partner at Cohen, Norris, Scherer, Weinberger & Wolmer in North Palm Beach. Ray received his degree from Stetson University and has worked for the firm for 13 years, specializing in commercial transactions.
James V. Fazioli, David B. Wheeler and Brian C. Hickey have joined Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White & Lioce in West Palm Beach as associates. Fazioli received his degree from the University of Miami and practices commercial real estate law. Wheeler received his degree from Tulane University and practices commercial litigation. Hickey received his degree from American University and practices real estate law.
Jeffrey C. Fulford, a partner in Fulford & King in Stuart, has been appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to the civil jury instruction committee for a term of three years. Fulford specializes in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death.
Paul A. Baldovin Jr., Jeffrey M. Glotzer and Marlyn J. Wiener have joined Carter & Thomas LLP in Boca Raton as senior attorneys. Baldovin will lead the estate planning and probate practice, Glotzer is a trial attorney and Wiener specializes in real estate and corporate transactions.
